Reading Group: Quantum Entanglement & de Sitter Space
This reading group explores recent developments in theoretical physics and mathematics that highlight the potential of operator algebras, together with their intrinsic dynamics and causal structures, to provide a rigorous framework for the emergence of spacetime. The abstract nature of these mathematical structures offers a general and flexible approach to quantum phenomena, with the potential to extend our understanding beyond Anti-de Sitter spacetimes to more realistic settings, including de Sitter spacetimes and spacetimes containing singularities.
Organisers: Luka Vinck, Sebastian De Haro, and Aude Corbeel.
